Art Licensing FAQs
-
Art licensing allows you to obtain permission to use a piece of artwork or pattern on the products you make and sell. Instead of buying the artwork outright, you purchase a licence that grants you the rights to use the design for a specific purpose and period of time.
Most of the designs shown on my website are currently available to license. This means you can select a pattern and apply it to your own products — for example children’s clothing, stationery, homeware, or packaging — while I retain ownership of the artwork.
Licences can be exclusive (only your brand can use the design within an agreed category) or non-exclusive (the design may be licensed to more than one company). All licences are granted for a defined product category, territory, and time period, which will be agreed together before use.

All designs shown in my portfolio are available to license. Occasionally a design may already be exclusively licensed or reserved for a particular product category, but I’m always happy to suggest alternative designs with a similar style.
-
Yes. All designs in my portfolio are ready to license, which means they can be supplied for production once a licensing agreement is in place.
Artwork can usually be provided in the appropriate format for your product, and in many cases colour adjustments or minor changes can be made to suit your brand.
-
If you see a design you’d like to use, simply get in touch via my contact form or email with a few details about your project. Let me know which design you’re interested in, the type of product you’d like to use it on, and where you plan to sell it.
I’ll then confirm availability and send over licensing options. Once we agree on the terms, a licensing agreement is signed and the final artwork files are supplied ready for production.

Yes, in many cases small adjustments such as colour changes or scale can be made to suit your product. If you are looking for something more specific, I’m also happy to discuss custom or bespoke designs created especially for your brand.

Yes — I’m always especially excited to collaborate with brands that prioritise sustainability, ethical production, and thoughtful design.
Many of my patterns are created with children’s products in mind, focusing on joyful, playful designs that work beautifully for items like clothing, accessories, home décor, and everyday lifestyle products.
